Cross The Ages presents MAA, the eternally blue-eyed creator from the heart of Artellium.

MAA Cross The Ages

Some cards are contemplated and others are experienced.
With the card of MAACross The Ages a crossed the line between art and revelation.
Born from the fusion of the powers of Arkhel, Riona and Sijin, Maa takes on the features of a very young woman, a beautiful and immense creature whose candor contrasts with the infinite power she exudes.

His eyes, an intense and luminous blue, seem to whisper a secret of a thousand origins.

Her lips remain sealed, silent, but her gesture speaks for her: full of gentleness, gravity, almost maternal. Letting escape Ghanima, the vibrating stone, Maa releases a wave which crosses the world and makes the body of the one who contemplates it vibrate.

The image becomes vibration, with the celestial vision of Maa

The first sensation that strikes us when observing this map is light.
It comes neither from the sky nor from the planets, but emanates from MAA's body. Her flowing dress, studded with orbs and glittering dust, undulates like an ocean of stars in the air of an invisible wind. One can almost hear the delicate rustling of this astral fabric, which is like the breath of the wind caressing our skin.

Maa's long, silver hair floats in the air like threads of gold and light. It feels silky, but it feels icy to the touch, as if coursing through a magnetic field.
The aura or charisma that she exudes envelops the entire space with a bewitching warmth that blends with the cosmic depth that surrounds her.

With her hand, she seems to introduce Ghanima, a small sphere whose vibration radiates throughout the image. We perceive and feel it like a deep pulsation, an echo similar to the beating of a heart. It palpitates, it breathes, it calls.

Beneath her, the planets seem to be swept along in a celestial dance of turquoise and ink reflections. One might think one was contemplating a galactic ocean, echoing with the silent lapping of the stars gliding through the fluid of eternity.

MAA and the moons of Artellium, sisters of destiny

Following the cosmic current that extends at the feet of MAA, the three moons are revealed, like small spheres, or real pearls suspended in an ocean of stars. Karas diffuses a deep green glow, like a forest emerging from the light. Regel shines a clear, pure, and crystalline blue, like a reflection of icy water. Balor, smaller and brown, appears heavy and dense, like rock at the very bottom of the abyss.

Their dance is silent but palpable. We seem to hear a dull resonance, like the beating of a drum buried underwater. In this scene, they seem to stare at MAA with the impatience of children waiting for their sister. A gentle, almost joyful tension fills the air: like a scent of expectation, of promise about to blossom, as if their cycle could only be completed with the arrival of their fourth sister.

MAA Cross The Ages

Ghanima and her secrets...

Ghanima isn't just a sphere of light. She's a living substance. Like a burning coal, her surface ignites the air, while her energy recalls both flowing water and moving air. She vibrates and throbs, to the point where we all feel that shiver running up Maa's arms, across her chest, and filling her lungs with a breath that's as overwhelming as it is soothing. Her golden glow floods the space with warmth, but it also carries an intimate, almost maternal resonance that nestles in the womb.

MAA addresses her with voiceless words: "Go now. Your sisters are waiting for you... Ghanima."

This is where some questions arise:

Is Ghanima a new moon? Or is it a forgotten moon? Is it destined to join Karas, Regel, and Balor? Is it the original source of the creation of the world of Artellium? Or is it the source of the very essence of Pranah? That vibrant breath that connects all that was and all that will be!

All the hypotheses seem tangible. Yet, the secret remains, it reigns like an elusive scent whose presence can be guessed at but never grasped.

MAA, child of immeasurable size or Creator of universes?

Her childlike face contains the sweetness and fragility of a child's innocence.
But in his posture and the curves of his body covering heaven and earth, there is the majesty of a creature that is a generative force.

Her skin is imbued with light, and a gentle warmth seems to emanate from her gestures. She appears fragile and strong at the same time, and yet each of her movements contains infinite creative power.

Is she the origin of everything? Is she the source of the worlds of Artellium? Or is she the incarnation of nature, the one who makes everything grow and breathe? Or is she an eternal child, witness to time that begins again and again?

Through MAA's illustration, humanity recognizes itself. We are fragile, yet vast. We are ephemeral, yet eternal. And in it, the mirror of this paradox is revealed.

Through MAA's illustration, artist Eraknote and the Cross The Ages artistic team sought to represent a reflection of our own humanity. Fragile yet immense, ephemeral and yet bearers of eternity, we find in it the living mirror of this paradox.

A pure EMAAtion…

Contemplating this map is more than just a visual treat; it's a physical experience. A shiver runs down your spine. A sense of satisfaction fills your chest and tightens your throat at the sight of such beauty. The very air vibrates...

Erak Note's work goes beyond illustrating a map; it creates an almost spiritual atmosphere. Each stroke, each flash, each luminous filament becomes a note in a sensory symphony that moves the viewer.

MAA is not just a map. It is a breath, a vibration. That of the mystery of our origins.

MAA… the starting point of Artellium?

Seeking to understand who MAA is is to come up against the obvious. What matters here lies neither in the power nor the value of the card, but in its profound rarity: that of a beginning. We are witnessing a genesis, perhaps the first heartbeat of the Cross The Ages universe.

The scene resonates like a silent Big Bang. In the palm of this creature, the void fills with light; moons, suns, and planets find their order. It is the sacred moment when nothingness fades before Pranah.

So, MAA is not just a character. She is the birth certificate of Artellium, the spark that spawns worlds, the living matrix of a cosmos in the making.

And when Ghanima rises from his fingers, the evidence is revealed: it is not only the universe of Artellium that comes to life, but perhaps all possible universes.

“A heart of all body, a body of all heart.”
