Summary
An exceptional weekend in the heart of the HeroFestival.
We were on site, in Marseille, on November 8 and 9, to cover the long-awaited Heroes Legacy, an event signed Cross The Ages right in the middle Hero Festival 2025.
In the aisles of Parc Chanot, among dozens of universes and licenses from the four corners of the world, CTA has established itself as a centerpiece of this show, with one of the largest stands of the entire event. A real life-sized city of Artellium, where games, literature, art and shared emotions mixed together.
The HeroFestival, already renowned for its diversity and friendly atmosphere, found this year in Cross The Ages a guest of honor worthy of its legend. For two days, the community gathered around the same torch: that of the passion for Cross The Ages.
A reunion under the sign of Magic
As soon as the doors opened, a very special atmosphere was felt. Members of the community, coming from the four corners of France and sometimes even further afield, gathered around a smile, a hug, or a “do you remember?”
The entire Cross The Ages team was there, welcoming, available, and with immense enthusiasm, delighted to see their audience again. The looks sparkled, the exchanges multiplied, and each reunion brought a little closer and distanced the distance and the doubts of the last months.
It was not a simple communication event, but it looked much more like a real family reunion.
A monumental stand with many faces
The Cross The Ages stand alone constituted a real universe. At the crossroads between games, art and literature, each space highlighted a different facet of this abundant work.
In a corner, the writers Alain Damasio, Arnaud Dollen, Norbert Merjagnan and Fabrice Capizzano signed the incredible story of this intellectual property and interacted with fans, in an atmosphere that was both passionate and friendly.
A little further, the CTA artists' corner exhibited the original illustrations that bring the cards to life, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the visual richness of the universe.
And for the players, more than 15 PCs were lined up, offering everyone the opportunity to test ARISE, the Cross The Ages RPG.
The merchandising area, for its part, was full of collector's items, while a claim point allowed visitors to collect the physical collections from the first three seasons: Arkhante, Mantris and the Rift.
An unforgettable conference: the world of Cross The Ages on stage
The highlight of the weekend was the conference around Cross The Ages which brought together Sami Chlagou, the four writers, as well as Gabriel, one of the emblematic artists of the project.
For an hour, the audience traveled across the continent of Artellium and its regions, exploring the genesis of the universe, the birth of factions and the ambition that has driven Cross The Ages since its beginnings.
The words rang with passion. The authors explained the narrative coherence, the transmission of knowledge, and this deep desire to forge a link between the game and the literary work.
Sami, as energetic and enthusiastic as ever, faithful to his contagious passion, was once again able to share the strength of his vision, that of an experienced and inspiring, deeply human creator.
We could only come away from this weekend with our hearts full of emotions, our heads full of memories and our eyes full of stars.
The cherry 🍒 on top of that – Cross The Ages Physical Cards!
Some die-hard TCG fans have been waiting for this moment for months, the famous claim of physical cards. The collections from the first three seasons Arkhante, Mantris and the Rift are now in the hands of players.
Foil or non-foil, each card sparkled in the eyes of the fans and under the stand lights. A small fragment of Artellium as a souvenir to delight collectors.
The “ claimants » opened the boxes in a mixture of excitement and nostalgia, everyone rediscovering their heroes and their favorite cards.
What a simple and pure pleasure to hold in your hands your binder rich in passion, creation and shared dreams.
ARISE tournament, speed is a weapon!
On the ARISE tournament stage, two teams of four players competed in timed dungeons.
The goal is to be the fastest to triumph over the challenges and creatures of the Cross The Ages universe.
After three thrilling rounds, one team won and won four brand new gaming PCs.
Commentators Anthony and Lolomi knew how to maintain the tension until the last second, between cries of victory, twists and turns and loud applause.
A glimpse of what future ARISE competitions will be like, fiery, strategic and terribly captivating.
Blast tournament, a historic final!
This was undoubtedly the subject of all the expectations of the weekend... Who will win the TCG Blast world grand final??
It brought together eight exceptional players from the four corners of the world, including seven French and one Japanese. The atmosphere was there, abundant and electric! Their game was simply astonishing.
The Japanese Eiji, guild member [LKD], had a flawless run until the grand final, where he found himself facing DunkeyKin of the guild [B-CORP].
A real duel of Titans followed, commented by Anthony and Mr.Regem, to the cheers of a wild audience. Eiji entered the final with a one point lead, reward for his perfect round.
But DunkeyKin, buoyed by the support and fiery energy of his friends from B-CORP, as well as an impeccable mastery of Blast, never gave up, until Victory.
Match after match, the tension gradually increased: 1-1, 2-1 for Eiji, 2-2... then 3-2 for DunkeyKin, who won triumphantly at the end of a legendary BO5.
The shouts, the applause, the shared fervor, it was all there. This finale will remain as one of the most beautiful pages of Heroes Legacy. An incredible display of talent, team spirit and fair play. And for the rest of the B-CORP, this victory symbolizes the start of a great adventure.
The Cross The Ages community united, vibrant and human.
The common thread common to all participants throughout this weekend was passion, kindness and solidarity. It is this burning fire that drives the CTA community.
We remember the laughter, the hugs, the exchanges between players, collectors, artists and developers. A rare human warmth, and almost unique in the world of gaming.
Every smile, every discussion, every look said a lot about the ambient atmosphere... It is clear that Cross The Ages is more than a game, it is above all a wonderful human adventure!
2025 edition of HeroFestival, a legacy engraved in the heart forever.
Leaving the HeroFestival, a feeling was still in the air, that of having experienced something great, rare, unforgettable.
The Heroes Legacy of Cross The Ages was not an event like any other, it was one of those suspended moments, a parenthesis outside of time, during which fiction came to life. The universe ofArtellium beat at the same pace as those who love him and watch him grow year after year.
The fans left with full hearts, arms full of memories, and eyes shining with hope.
Because beyond the cards, the seasons and the tournaments, a light continues to shine, that of a united, passionate community, which believes deeply in the same dream.
See Cross The Ages grow, again and again.
