The weekend of November 30 to December 1, 2024 will remain etched in the memories of Cross The Ages fans. For the second consecutive year, the Heroes Legacy Tournament brought together fans from all over the world. Even if the event, which usually takes place in Marseille, was exceptionally transformed into a virtual event that was attended online.
The Heroes Legacy was a true celebration of the game. Passion, competition, and good humor were of course there. If last year the event took place in person, this year's digital format took nothing away from the magic of this unmissable event.
From the very beginning of the event, the tone was set. A meticulous organization, a festive atmosphere and champions from all over the world, ready to face each other in epic duels. Although the main tournament brought together 64 international participants, at the center of all attention, another parallel tournament "the Side Event ", happened almost instantly.
The matches followed one another without a hitch, carried by an organizing team of impeccable professionalism. The quality of the game, the strategy and the mastery of the participants made the show. This festive atmosphere and the cohesion of the community and the Cross The Ages team, of course reminded everyone of the wonderful memories of Heroes Legacy 2023.
During the lives, the joy and enthusiasm of the community on the chat reached its peak. The bond that everyone thought had vanished, awakened to our great satisfaction.
Jokes of all kinds, puns, little emojis, everyone expressed in their own way the pleasure of being together. A real Dougreening up to par…
In the final, after two days of intense competition, Kiix won with flying colors, taking home the 2024 Heroes Legacy trophy and the hefty $20,000 prize.
The AMAs "Behind Arise" and "Behind TCG" brought a whole new dimension to the event. These little cherries on the cake revealed exciting news about the future of Cross The Ages. The cinematic video of Arise projected the spectators into the immersive universe of Cross The Ages, while the announcements around the TCG, in particular the introduction of Blasts and the evolution of the gameplay towards a rich and fun experience, generated real excitement from the players.
At each presentation, the team's passion was palpable. These moments of frenetic pleasure, punctuated by the broadcast of beautifully produced videos, reminded everyone that Cross The Ages, beyond the game, is a visionary project, led by an invested and united team that has convinced a committed community for a long time. Despite the distance, the warm and friendly energy came across the screens. The quizzes and giveaways, generously orchestrated by the team, added a touch of lightness and fun to the already high-energy atmosphere.
It is in this context that Panda, one of the active members of the community, convinced the team to let him speak to remotivate the troops to stay attentive to the project...
His message of homage to Charlie Chaplin, full of derision and Doudedications, to use Panda's term, have touched the vast majority of people in the community.
However, a few rare people did not appreciate the sequence, considering it inappropriate.
It was always with this kindness and benevolence that characterized him that Panda apologized to these people.
Besides, Charlie Chaplin himself said: "Nothing is eternal in this world, not even our problems"Whether we liked it or not, this simple moment of sharing was intended to remind us that Cross The Ages is above all a human adventure, carried by a close-knit and playful community.
The impressive cash prize and the exclusive cards offered to participants undoubtedly added a touch of prestige to the event. That said, the most important thing was not the size or quantity of the rewards. What really mattered was the festive atmosphere, the connection between the players, and this feeling of belonging to something great. It didn't matter whether the event took place online or in person. This weekend, Cross The Ages once again demonstrated its ability to bring people together, inspire and make us dream.
The 2024 edition of Heroes Legacy ended in a festive atmosphere, marked by unforgettable memories. More than the numbers or the victories, the fans will remember the moments of sharing and the hope of meeting again soon, carried by new projects to move forward together towards a bright future.
What will Cross The Ages have in store for us for the 2025 edition? A Heroes Legacy Tournament associated with a Hero-festival? An event bringing together more than 50,000 people?
One thing is certain, we will be there, together, in greater numbers to discover, and rediscover a rich and interesting future.
