It was a real earthquake that shook the entire Cross The Ages community at the end of last week and the shockwave spread to the Artellium Post.
Indeed, we were all very surprised by the announcement of the cancellation of the long-awaited “Heroes' Legacy 2024” event, initially scheduled for November 30 and December 1, 2024 in Marseille, in favor of an entirely online experience.
We totally understand your frustration, and your disappointment. We share this same feeling… and allow us to tell you that the internal team of Cross The Ages is also disappointed to have to withdraw from such an event at the last minute.
THE "Heroes' Legacy 2024” is for all of us a boost of energy that allows us to recharge our batteries and remotivate everyone for a new year of hard work for the good of the project.
But let's not let emotions sadden us, it is essential to remember what makes Cross The Ages strong, and it is without a doubt our community...

We have learned that this decision was not taken lightly by the Cross The Ages team. Please understand that after months of preparation, work, and waiting, having to cancel an event of such importance must have been devastating for the team.
Let's not forget that organizing such an event requires considerable resources, and in the current context of the financial market which is moving on the edge, it was simply impossible for Cross The Ages to maintain the “Heroes' Legacy 2024”.
This, without wanting to go into details, does not take into account the disengagement of one of the partners.
Where others would have simply given up, the Cross The Ages Team was able to bounce back and find another way, that of compromise and resilience. In the desire to respect its commitments to its community and all the players qualified for this annual Tournament.
Cross The Ages is proposing an “On-Line” event, which ultimately will not be easier to organize internally and will generate a great deal of mobilization from all members of the team’s different departments.
Yes!!! The dream of a physical gathering is postponed, but the virtual event that awaits us promises to keep as close as possible the very essence of what we love about “Heroes' Legacy 2024”. It is this character trait, a bit chameleon and this ability to adapt, to find solutions despite the obstacles, which proves that the Cross The Ages adventure is made to last.
Ultimately, isn't the most important thing to keep the heart of our community beating in rhythm and with passion, no matter how we do it?
Twist of Fate or Mantri Plot!? The Virtual has won this time…
Like many of you, we had already more or less finalized our reservations to meet you in person in Marseille. We were looking forward to sharing memorable moments with the “CTA” family (you and the team), like last year.
However, taking a step back, this transition to an online event is also a powerful reminder of the team's priorities. This choice allows us to focus resources on the development of the project, in particular on the imminent arrival of Arise that we are all eagerly awaiting.
In the end, isn't that what really matters?!
With the imminent launch of Arise, the overhaul of the TCG gameplay, the release of Volume 2 and the introduction of Lands, the future of Cross The Ages is taking shape and has never been more promising.
So yes, indeed as on all paths never trodden, there are pitfalls, and they are sometimes difficult. But, they are part of the steps that lead straight to success.
Wasn't it Winston Churchill who said: "Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm"?
As for the notion of failure, it was Nelson Mandela who said: “I never fail, I either win or I learn”. It is part of the process.
This strengthens the team's determination to deliver high-quality work, and the time for celebration will soon arrive.
Digital format for the exceptional Heroes's Legacy 2024 Tournament with a cash prize still at Flow and an atmosphere still intact!
This temporary format change is not an end in itself. The annual Heroes' Legacy Tournament 2024, as well as its prizes and atmosphere, remain the same. It comes back to us in an online format, certainly different and new, but no less exciting.
From the E-sport Tournament of our 64 finalists, to the side event tournaments and their special prizes, everything will be there. This is an opportunity to prove, once again, that our community is ready to take on any challenge, even remotely.
But most importantly, let's remember that the Cross The Ages team hasn't forgotten the community. They've taken steps to compensate for this transition, with increased prize pools, refunds, and surprises to thank the community for their support and keep the excitement high.
From trial to hope: an adventure in full “mutation”
As we said above, these moments remind us that the road to success is rarely linear. Obstacles have arisen and will certainly continue to arise in our path, but they are what forge our resilience and our ability to bounce back together. Let's stay the course together...
Cross The Ages has proven time and time again its ability to overcome adversity, and this milestone is just another chapter in this incredible story.
Soon all this will be just a memory.
So let's see this “Heroes' Legacy 2024 Online” event as an opportunity to show our support to the team and celebrate everything we've accomplished together so far.
It is also and above all an opportunity to take stock of the innovations and accomplishments that have been made so far, and of the projections and the future that await us with this incredible adventure that is Cross The Ages.
