Summary
A tempting cash prize, cascading dungeons, quests galore, the joy of discovering your weapons at the end of each game, endless sleepless nights... and above all, lots of laughter and memories shared with friends. Phase 2 of the closed playtest ofArise has just ended in a veritable whirlwind of adrenaline, competition and passion. One thing is certain, everyone would have liked it to continue a little longer. The entire community is excited for this new Action-RPG signed Cross The Ages.
A week of testing packed with strategies!
For seven days of intense competition, players from the CTA and MOCA communities competed in a frantic race to climb to the top of their respective ladders.
Up for grabs: $12,500 in CTA tokens per community, distributed among the top 200 players in each ranking. That's a total of 400 players rewarded for their performance... and their incredible endurance.
And yes, some enthusiasts have accumulated more than 110 hours of gameplay in a week. You read that right. 110 hours of running, exploring, looting, playing cooperatively—110 hours of pure excitement. Proof that Arise's addiction is real.
The Battle of the Guilds at the top of the ladder was played out between B-CORP, AFC and GOA…
In Arise, belonging to a guild makes all the difference Whether it's sharing strategies, optimizing builds, or simply finding reliable allies for co-op sessions, having people around you makes a huge difference. Playing in a group increases your chances of success.
During this phase 2, the guilds' Discord voice servers were open continuously , bubbling with real-time analyses, cries of victory, technical advice, but also... crazy laughter shared between raid comrades.
Two guilds particularly stood out on the ladder:
B-CORP – Believers Corporation, more than a collective of followers, united above all by passion and delirium, a group of ultra-competitive players, who choose positivity. They are capable of brilliant performances but also of unfailing consistency.
AFC – Aurelius Fight Club, as its name suggests, is a collective of players united for combat. It's a well-oiled, methodical, and incredibly efficient machine. The players in this guild are used to playing for long periods of time.
GOA – Guardians of Artellium, a solid and discreet collective, always loyal to its role and driven by a close-knit and passionate group of players. Although fewer in number than in other guilds, the players here are no less talented.
In this frantic race, luck also played a crucial role. The crystal loot system could completely reshuffle the deck.
Getting a legendary Tier 6? A real asset. A Tier 7? A game-changer.
Sometimes, a simple difference in stats was enough to separate two players who were neck and neck.
But beyond the competition, it was the players' commitment that shone through—proof that community bonds strengthen the experience, and that Arise is already establishing itself as an RPG built for cooperative play.
Top 10 CTA, and podium under high pressure
At the end of the competition, the final ranking of the CTA leaderboard awarded the most enduring, strategic... and lucky loot players.
The undisputed champion of this phase 2 is Makikirotto (AFC), who won a level 46 key, a record hailed by the entire community.
Behind him are Björn and Garm (B-CORP), often in duos or trios with Ulf, but also brilliant solo artists. Their consistency and dedication have earned them several places in the top 10.
Also worth noting is the performance of Neocraft2022, present in several positions in this ranking, proof of remarkable consistency.
This CTA top 10 perfectly illustrates the intensity of this phase 2 in the fight for first place.
A fierce battle, in which the French guilds played a central role, engaging in a merciless struggle until the very end. Each team competed with strategies and timer optimization methods. But individual performances were also central to the competition.
At the same time, the MOCA community, supported by Animoca Brands, has not been without merit.
Made up of very high-level players from all over the world, curious to discover the world of Cross The Ages, it brought a new breath of fresh air to the race at the top of the championship.
This international opening marks a turning point for Arise, which attracts and seduces more and more every day.
5 weapons, crystals… and a good dose of luck.
The loot system has also been much talked about, with weapons being obtained from crystals obtained at the end of dungeons.
These contained weapons of varying levels and rarities. The ultimate jackpot, coveted by players, was the legendary Tier 7 weapon, of course.
The luckiest ones had a lucky hand and landed it, thus being able to take a clear lead in the final fight against Ascaross. With each attack, the damage inflicted was greater. However, regardless of the weapon, the gameplay was dynamic, dense and well-balanced.
Five elements were represented for weapons: Fire, Water, Earth, Nature, and Light. Only the Air and Shadow elements were still missing for this Phase 2 test. This absence only increased the players' impatience at the idea of discovering them in the following phases.
Co-op or solo? Each to their own game and strategy.
During this second testing phase, players had the freedom to explore the Rift solo or in teams of 2, 3, or 4 runners. This flexibility allowed for the emergence of very different play styles: from precise speedruns to ultra-optimized strategies and more relaxed exploration sessions with friends.
Despite the progressively increasing difficulty, the mobs proved to be both formidable and devious—sometimes unpredictable, always ferocious. And it was precisely this constant challenge that captivated players, keeping them coming back for more.
The Rift, this sweet home with its landscapes as grandiose as they are intriguing.
When players weren't fighting, they were exploring. The pre-alpha land is beautiful, with its peaceful lake, dense forest, crafting areas, resource generators, and "weightless" rocks.
Arise isn't just a fighting game; it's a universe in its own right, deep and alive. A world vibrant with stories, mysteries, and emotions, in which we willingly lose ourselves, carried away by curiosity, our gaze fixed on the raw beauty of its landscapes. A world in which, despite the anomalies, we find ourselves loving to live, build, imagine, and dream...
Arise, promise kept, and enthusiasm rekindled, and now the sequel…
This second phase of testing has been a resounding success. It has lived up to its promise, rekindling the flame in hundreds of players, swept up in the Arise whirlwind and already eager to discover what's next.
As soon as the servers were shut down, a sweet nostalgia set in—proof that Arise has left its mark. With its solid mechanics, rich universe, and resolutely engaging gameplay, Cross The Ages' action RPG seems to be paving the way for a very promising future.
Thanks to the CTA team ❤️
Finally, it is difficult to close this chapter without paying tribute 🌹 to the remarkable work of the entire Cross The Ages team. If this phase 2 has proven to be so smooth, successful and coherent, it is thanks to their commitment, their tenacity... their unfailing passion, and their availability.
Thank you for this precious moment of play, thank you for this shared adventure — and above all, thank you for continuing to make an entire community dream, line after line, pixel after pixel…..
[Once is not customary]
We could not conclude without a little touch of chauvinism. 😜 to greet our B-Corp Wolves/Vikings , who brilliantly created a surprise by taking a prime spot on the famous Ladder. What memories! This is exactly the state of mind we cherish: a close-knit, supportive family, moving forward together and shining. Perfect harmony with the values and vision of Cross The Ages.
(⚠️ Obviously, this does not take anything away from the talent or performance of the other guilds, all equally remarkable!) ❤️
