THE 7th Airdrop Rare Special Card of the Season 3 Rift Valley this week, gives us a window into the unique world of twisted and truncated magic that reigns over the inhabitants of the Rift. Each inhabitant of this unforgiving place has a unique ability or gift of their own.

While spotting beings with these powers may seem easy, understanding their motivations and intentions is much less so. Behind every breath can be hidden the threat of a malevolent creature or, on the contrary, the benevolence of a generous soul.

Today, let's take a closer look at what the two versions, standard and alternative, of this SR card reveal, Kahi and Khennan.

These two Dark and Mysterious figures seem to be brother and sister, perhaps even twins. What is most fascinating about them is undoubtedly this unbreakable bond, so natural and obvious, that unites them. They seem to be two sides of the same coin.

Perhaps they are the guardians of an ancient secret that they share or carefully defend? Kahi and Khennan, are two souls connected by blood ties, but certainly also by mysterious traditions, which we hope to discover.

The serene faces of Kahi and Khennan hide a formidable power, but also betray a complementarity, which is both their strong point, but which could also be their weak point. Who are they really? Are they just passing through? Or are they the guardians of a legacy that no one has ever heard of?

Let’s dive into the twists and turns of their history...

In the standard version, we see Kahi and Khennan under the crushing heat of the desert and under a sky illuminated by a bright light, in a moment of relaxation, almost carefree.

They are dressed in light, warm-toned, oriental-style outfits that evoke the heat of the desert. They seem familiar with this place, as evidenced by Khennan's acrobatics and their ease in climbing the city's rooftops.

With his Aladdin look, golden slippers on his feet and a purse in his hand, Khennan looks like he's coming back from a mission. He's joining his sister in the heights.

Kahi, positioned at the top of the building, standing, watches the horizon for danger... Her serious and concentrated gaze, as well as her upright stature, mark her determination.

Their clothes are both light and practical, optimized for fast and discreet travel, thus suggesting that roaming is their way of life. A nomadic life, or belonging to an adventurous tribe, a tribe of acrobats. The protections that cover their knees and forearms reinforce this impression of seasoned travelers, ready to face the challenges that nature imposes on them.

Kahi exudes a natural authority, a presence that suggests that perhaps she holds a leadership role in her clan. Her head scarf is tied with care, which adds a touch of sophistication to her outfit and underlines the cultural affiliation to her people. A ring on her nose, slightly shining, symbolizes a tradition or ritual indicating her belonging to a culture rich in esoteric symbols.

At his side, Khennan, perfectly balanced, clings nimbly to the inner wall of the building, strangely resembling a Kasbah or a palace that serves as a playground for our two acrobatic geniuses. His tense and prominent muscles carry the entire weight of his body. Like Kahi, he wears a nose ring and a scarf, details that underline their intimate bond, whether familial or spiritual.

This infernal twin duo is much more than the symbol of a sibling alliance; they are two halves of a whole, and harmonize perfectly.

Their environment and the scenery around them reminds us of ancient worlds, bathed in ochre and golden hues. The architecture of this mysterious structure seems imposing. Nevertheless, Kahi and Khennan dream of going even higher than these walls. They would like to be in the place of the birds that remain free in the sky in the background. This spectacle inspires and fascinates them. They appreciate its serenity, which soothes them. One could almost hear the whisper of the wind against the stones, like a discreet reminder of the history that permeates the walls of this sacred place.

In the alternative version of the Special Rare card of Kahi and Khennan, the scenery changes completely and gives way to a threatening atmosphere. Gray clouds invade the sky and darken the horizon.

Kahi and Khennan are no longer so serene, the expression on their faces has changed!

The atmosphere is heavier, an omen that a serious event is about to occur. Kahi and Khennan have transformed, revealing the formidable potential of their supernatural forces.

Their faces have tightened, horns have sprouted on the tops of their heads, tribal tattoos have appeared on their backs, shoulders and along their arms. Their piercing blue eyes shine and reflect their inner strength. Kahi and Khennan watch, they scrutinize and threaten. 

The original calm has given way to extreme concentration. They are ready to face any adversity, from the moment they are together, nothing scares them. Armed with unwavering trust and their unfailing complicity, they don't need anyone, they watch over each other.

In this defensive posture, Kahi and Khennan stand back to back, united to face the surrounding danger. This position, as well as the halo of energy rising above them, reveals their perfect synchronization. One can imagine that they connect to each other telepathically and communicate through thought in total symbiosis.

From their hands, this halo springs forth, this blue, electric energy. It forms a luminous arc that binds them and seems to protect them at the same time. The power of their spiritual connection is such that it raises many questions.

What is this ancestral link that connects them? What is the story of our twins Kahi and Khennan? What role did shadow magic play in their past?
